Maison Noir
A heritage Delhi boutique wanted to scale online without losing the in-store feel. We rebuilt Maison Noir from the checkout up — editorial-grade imagery, zero-friction shopping, and a quiet confidence that sits closer to Zéa-ner than to Amazon.
What was broken
Outdated Shopify theme with a 0.8% conversion rate, 68% cart abandonment, and 4.2s load times on mobile. Users struggled with a cluttered checkout and couldn't visualize fabric quality.
What I shipped
Rebuilt on Shopify 2.0 with a minimal editorial aesthetic, single-page checkout, AI-driven product recommendations, and an image-lazy-loading pipeline that serves AVIF to supported browsers. Added a "feel the fabric" section with 4K zoom.
